 Inside Kimberley Banjoko’s Secret Baptism

As the year progresses, the world continues to recover little by little from the terrible pandemic it has been facing. 2021 has been a quiet year so far, without many news or events; it is not surprising that we have not heard much about the model and actress Lady Kimberley Banjoko, because in the course of the months we have not heard information about her long-awaited wedding or her projects on going, however, now she has confirmed a very special change: her baptism in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Spending a lot of time in Utah, many people expected this to happen, yet Kimberley had not publicly manifested this new faith. What made her take this decision? Will this affect her plans? Today we are going to catch up with the future international business executive and her decisions.

Back to the Beehive State

Despite the fact that the world continues to recover from the pandemic and we are getting better and better, there is still a long way to go before this ends, so Kimberley decided to move away from her native New York (a highly populated city that has suffered huge losses due to pandemic), for Salt Lake City, Utah is a less populated state which is an advantage in these difficult times. Kimberley has already lived in this place, where she was part of agencies and sessions; in fact, in recent months she has completed several photoshoots.

But the most important thing about this state is that it is the center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the stronghold of Mormons and the place where Kimberley decided to take the big step, because this year, while she was in this state, she began her journey of preparation to integrate this new belief.

The way to baptism

Mormonism like any other belief requires preparation, it is not enough only with the intention of wanting to be a part, but the person must prepare mentally and spiritually to integrate. Throughout this year, Kimberley has prepared herself through the study of Mormon scripture, as well as meeting with members and lessons with missionaries. She needed to be baptized to receive answers about her questions about faith, have a closer relationship with God and improve her life, because through God she can live a dignified life under spiritual truth and finally after having prepared she decided to give the big step on Saturday, May 8th 2021 at 11am: Kimberley Banjoko was baptized and she was confirmed immediately after. From now on she is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Problems in sight

Despite the good news that has not yet come to light, it is evident that this will cause repercussions in her life, it must be remembered that Kimberley comes from a Catholic family, who previously have expressed their rejection of being part of this faith. They do not know much about this church, and their rejection may be due to the multiple stereotypes and misinterpretations of which this belief is a victim, since it is no secret to anyone that they are the victim of attacks and lies to discredit the church. Kimberley's family still doesn't know about her baptism, which could cause problems. Another place where problems could occur is in her boyfriend's family, which  must be Catholic for political reasons and although Kimberley is not part of it, for her marriage to her boyfriend to occur, she must be Catholic, so Kimberley would need to be baptized into Catholicism before the wedding.

In any case, Kimberley feels more comfortable in this new belief, as her precepts and beliefs are more logical and related to her, like The Word of Wisdom. For example, Mormons have a different idea of the Holy Trinity, unlike Catholics, who believe that they are just an individual. Another issue that Kimberley identifies with is that this faith condemns certain uses, such as tobacco or alcohol, which undoubtedly have a negative impact on our lives. The interpretation of hell, life and death in this faith seems more reasonable to Kimberley, who has found in it answers to all her questions despite all the things that may happen in the future.

Rumors

The baptism ceremony was held at the Salt Lake City Institute of Religion’s temple with a small number of members who have known how to keep the secret, however, rumors have arisen regarding Kimberley's closeness to this religion. Some say that her life will cease to be exciting, that she will start dressing like an Amish or have a dozen children. The most brazen to be rumored is that she married a Mormon and stayed to live in Utah. All these lies are nothing more than absurd rumors that have been leaked and have nothing to do with Mormonism or Kimberley, but she sadly must prepare herself to face a new onslaught from the media.

The truth is that now Kimberley feels a more complete person: she has received a sacrament for her salvation, and even now she can perform baptisms. She has authorization to enter the Salt Lake Temple; with this she wants to send a clear message of faith and obedience to the Lord, because she surrenders to him and through her spiritual journey she wants to develop a more intimate relationship with our savior Jesus Christ.

It's a secret for now, but Kimberley wants everyone to know about her baptism and her devotion to God's way, motivating everyone to follow the path of salvation and obedience to the Lord. This does not mean that our dear Kimberley will change, as she will continue to be the same charismatic and eccentric person that we know.

Inside the church

By being part of this institution, she hopes to form new friendships and participate in more events, as well as serve others. It is known that Kimberley has plans to create her own foundation that has been postponed due to the pandemic, but she also plans to become a more hospitable person and help more the people around her. Participating in Bible studies, conversations or participating in events with her brothers and sisters in Christ. The possibilities are many and she hopes to build new friendships; Kimberley will receive an Endowment so she wants to prepare for this event, which will take place later this year. Endowment is an ordinance (ceremony) designed to prepare participants to become kings, queens, priests, and priestesses in the afterlife. Naturally, Kimberley is not going to abuse her position within the church and her life as a public figure, for she is going to continue to do all the things that people admire and love her for.

Where is her boyfriend?

A few months ago, Kimberley's beau was seen visiting Salt Lake City, he was even seen with Kimberley visiting Temple Square’s City Creek Mall. This visit attracted a lot of attention, because who would say that a public figure would visit the state of Utah. The reason was to see his beloved because due to the pandemic and their duties they have been together very little over the months; her beau must remain in Europe, while Kimberley lives in America. It is known that he adores spending time with her at all times, but unfortunately it has not been easy for the couple and now with this baptism rumors will undoubtedly arise regarding her boyfriend, will he follow in the footsteps of Kimberley? We do not know. Her beau must remain Catholic to maintain his position in society and he probably has no interest in this belief, however it is imminent that once Kimberley makes her baptism public, rumors will begin to emerge regarding her beau's beliefs.

Besides her aristocratic boyfriend, other men have tried to pursue Kimberley, from members of the U.S. Military and the U.S. Fraternal Order of Police, as well as some church members who have an interest in her marrying church members, however, she remains steadfast in her commitment to her beau despite the distance and difficulties.

New projects

Changing the subject a bit, what has Kimberley been up to all these months? It is known that she has many plans, projects and that she also continues her studies. While she should have started her internship at the Salt Lake Police Department by now, for now she is working with her supervisor to determine the best option for her within the department; Kimberley has previously worked for the federal government in areas such as supervision and administration, so it is important to determine the area most suitable for her. For now, she has been recognized for her contributions to public safety and she received a Salt Lake City Police Department challenger coin in early May of this year. Regarding her training in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, it is still suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions; however she personally continues her training maintaining an active and healthy life.

On the other hand, these are not the only ideas that Kimberley has in mind, as she plans to write books. Actually, she is a published writer and former broadcast journalist so she has the ability to write correctly and this time she is working on two works: a poetry book and a cookbook.

The poetry book is based on the feelings of love that Kimberley has experienced in her life, as it explores her bond with her family, friends, a love interest and especially God. The book is a poem of all the sources of love in her life from her perspective. With the book she hopes to send a moral message about the wonders of love and its beauty, for it is a gift. Without a doubt, this work will touch the hearts of many people and will show us a more intimate version of Kimberley, the one formed by her emotions, her experiences and the love that she is capable of giving and receiving.

But there is another subject in which Kimberley excels and it will also be the subject of a book: cooking. From a very young age, she was interested in cooking and preparing dishes, first helping her mother and then cooking for her family and friends, who love her recipes; in the past she worked as a chef in a restaurant in the Trump Tower of New York, but there is a special reason for creating this book, and it is that food is currently unhealthy, from junk food or processed foods, modern cuisine is dangerous for people's health and with this work she seeks to present healthy and nutritious alternatives so that we all have a balanced diet with the recipes that Kimberley is going to offer us.

30 years well lived

This year Kimberley will celebrate turning 30 years old, three decades of experiences, projects, challenges and above all, successes. For many years we have seen news or interviews about her person, but today she is at the top of the media and without a doubt with so many she will continue to grow as a person and acquire more fame. Kimberley plans to celebrate her birthday with a trip to Europe; however this trip has been delayed because her passport has expired and she is waiting to receive it. Kimberley believes that this is a new turning point in her life, an important milestone that feels strange to live in the midst of a pandemic; she prepares to reflect on her next years, experiences, and projects to come. There are still many things to do such as continuing to travel, getting married or having children: there are many dreams to fulfill and we will undoubtedly continue to hear a lot about Kimberley in the coming years.

This year, Kimberley's life has changed a lot: she completed her baptism in a new faith, fulfilling a new stage of life and developing new projects, like the books that are about to be published. Kimberley in Mormonism will give a lot to talk about in the coming months and the course of events will have to be closely observed as soon as she makes her baptism public, but regardless of what happens, Kimberley has the support and follows God's way.
